“A Moment of Joy and Connection, Delivering Smiles”

Monarch Pathways is offering a new service that connects a professional musician with individual and groups of residents (practicing social isolation). The idea is to have a staff member or other volunteer equipped with a tablet (Facetime for iPad, Zoom for other devices) visit with residents and connect them with our musicians for a brief 5-10 minute interaction. We will connect with the individuals and play a song of their choice to bring a smile and a moment of joy during these challenging times.

We are currently doing this service and receiving overwhelming great feedback.

“I was amazed how delighted the residents were as they connected with Bryan and heard the music played just for them. It seems like magic when they realize it was not taped but live! Lots of laughter and smiles.”

Elias Rodriguez, Rowntree Gardens – Los Angeles California

If your staff and residents are suffering from effects of social isolation, view the short video below to see how we are helping organizations cope by bringing moments of joy through live music.

One of our musicians, Bryan Stevenson, is on the Monarch Pathways staff and is a pastor as well. The on-sight staff member (or other volunteer) typically introduces this new exciting service by saying:

“Bryan is a friend of mine from Pennsylvania – he is a pastor and is also a professional musician! He would live to sing a song of your choice – and would be happy to pray for you as well…”

A list of songs is presented to residents to choose from (large font list on the screen). As an example, songs typically requested by resident include:

  • Hey, Good Looking, Hank Williams
  • What a Wonderful World, Louis Armstrong
  • It is Well with My Soul, Sacred Hymn
  • Fly Me to the Moon, Frank Sinatra
  • What a Wonderful World this Would Be, Sam Cooke
